Bronzing Slits (collaboration with Manon van den Eeden), 2020

Tinted acrylic and silicone rubber
65x35x45cm, 21x19x5cm

Bronzing Slits is a sculptural piece that arose from a collaboration between Isabella Benshimol and Manon van den Eeden. A tinted acrylic table made by Manon van den Eeden and translucent silicone rubber cast with embedded tinted acrylic drops that acts as the container of a sort of digestive process made by Isabella Benshimol. They merge together through the incidence of light and translucency of the materiality, questioning the boundaries of the negative/positive and empty/full spaces and their limits.

Installation at Pou sou nefko peu paeis, Korai project space, Nicosia, Cyprus with works by Darya Diamond, Esther Gatón, Evangelia Dimitrakopoulou, Manon Van den Eeden, Rebeca Romero and Patricia Bandeira.
